This policy explains what data Recoup (recoupinvoice.com), operated by Shashwat Aditya, sole proprietor, India, collects and how it is used.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data — your name, email address, and authentication details.
  • Invoice data — when you connect Stripe, PayPal, or QuickBooks (read-only to start), we access invoice metadata: amounts, due dates, status, and the billing contact details of the clients on those invoices.
  • Communications data — the follow-up messages sent on your behalf and replies received, so the Service can manage the conversation.
  • Usage data — product analytics collected via PostHog. We use no other tracking.

2. How we use data

We use your data solely to operate the Service: auditing what you are owed, sending and managing follow-ups within the rules you set, and notifying you. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your clients’ contact details for any purpose other than the invoice follow-ups you approve.

3. AI processing

Recoup uses large language model providers to draft and manage follow-up messages. Invoice and message content is shared with these providers only as needed to provide the Service and is not used by us to train models.

4. Service providers

We use a small number of processors: payment processing by Dodo Payments (merchant of record), product analytics by PostHog, cloud hosting, email delivery, and AI model providers. Each receives only the data needed for its function.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain data while your account is active. You can disconnect integrations at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us; we delete it within 30 days except where law requires longer retention.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. Contact [email protected] to exercise these rights.
